FEQHA European Team Cup 2025 – Teamgeist trifft Spitzensport
Vom 11. bis 13. Juli 2025 ist es soweit: Die DQHA richtet den FEQHA European Team Cup auf dem Gelände des Pferdesportzentrums Lammetal in Lamspringe aus. Gemeinsam mit Showmanager Marius Bauer, dem Show Office unter Leitung von Steffi Schulz und einem erfahrenen Organisationsteam freuen wir uns auf ein sportlich hochwertiges und zugleich besonders teamorientiertes Event – denn beim Team Cup steht nicht der Einzelreiter, sondern die Leistung der Mannschaft im Mittelpunkt.
Ein sportliches Format mit Besonderheiten
Der FEQHA European Team Cup wird in der Regel alle zwei Jahre von einem der europäischen AQHA Affiliates ausgerichtet. Nachdem der Cup 2024 in Dänemark stattfand und der AQHA Youth World Cup 2025 entfällt, hat die FEQHA den Turnus angepasst – und so wird der nächste Team Cup bereits 2025 in Deutschland fortgesetzt.
Sieben europäische Nationen (inklusive eines vereinten Mixed-Teams) werden in Lamspringe an den Start gehen. Jedes Team stellt sich der Herausforderung, möglichst breit aufgestellt zu sein, denn: Jedes Teammitglied muss in mindestens drei unterschiedlichen Disziplinen starten. So kann es vorkommen, dass man einen Ranch-Reiter plötzlich in der Hunt Seat Equitation erlebt – Flexibilität und Teamwork sind gefragt.
Disziplinen & Teilnahmebedingungen
In folgenden Disziplinen wird gewertet:
– Showmanship
– Horsemanship
– Hunt Seat Equitation
– Western Pleasure
– Hunter Under Saddle
– Trail
– Ranch Riding
– Ranch Trail
– Reining
Die Teilnahme ist dabei klar geregelt: In Showmanship, Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail und Ranch Riding dürfen maximal drei Reiter pro Nation starten, in Ranch Trail und Reining jeweils zwei. Diese Vorgaben erfordern strategische Planung durch die Teamleiter und hohe Flexibilität der Reiterinnen und Reiter.
Teams aus ganz Europa – erstmals mit vereintem Team
Neben dem Gastgeberland Deutschland, das mit je einem Youth- und Amateur-Team vertreten ist, reisen folgende Nationen an:
– Schweiz mit je einem Youth- und Amateur-Team
– Frankreich mit einem Amateur-Team und zwei Youth-Teams
– Polen mit einem Youth-Team
– sowie ein united Team bestehend aus Teilnehmern aus Finnland, Schweden, Belgien und Deutschland
Gerade diese länderübergreifende Zusammensetzung zeigt, was den Team Cup besonders macht: Gemeinschaft, Fairness und internationale Freundschaften stehen im Vordergrund.
Gemeinschaftsgefühl auf und neben dem Platz
Ein zentraler Gedanke des Team Cups ist das Miteinander – das zeigt sich nicht nur im Sport, sondern auch im Rahmenprogramm: Gemeinsame Mittagessen, ein BBQ-Abend und spaßige Teamspiele schaffen Begegnung und Austausch. Das Restaurant „Miara Ranch“ sorgt das gesamte Wochenende für das leibliche Wohl aller Gäste, Teams und Zuschauer.
Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Teamvorstellung am Freitagabend, bei der jedes Team mit einem selbstgewählten Lied, kreativen Kostümen (oft mit landestypischem Bezug) und kleinen Showeinlagen auftritt – ein unterhaltsamer Start in ein außergewöhnliches Wochenende.
Klassentage, Siegerehrungen & emotionale Momente
Am Samstag, den 12. Juli, starten die Wettbewerbe mit den Disziplinen Showmanship, Trail, Western Pleasure, Ranch Riding und Reining.
Am Sonntag, den 13. Juli, folgen Ranch Trail, Western Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle und Hunt Seat Equitation.
Alle Klassen werden jeweils für Youth- und Amateur-Teilnehmer ausgetragen, mit feierlichen Siegerehrungen direkt im Anschluss. Dabei werden die Flaggen der Nationen auf den Plätzen 1 bis 3 feierlich enthüllt – ein bewegender Moment für viele Teams.
Das Event endet mit der großen Team-Siegerehrung am Sonntagnachmittag, bei der die besten Mannschaften geehrt und die Trophäen überreicht werden.
Ein besonderes Turnier – sportlich wie menschlich
Der FEQHA European Team Cup 2025 ist weit mehr als nur ein Turnier. Er ist ein Symbol für Zusammenhalt, Fairness und internationalen Austausch im Westernsport – und die DQHA freut sich sehr, als Ausrichter Gastgeber dieses besonderen Events zu sein.

FEQHA European Team Cup 2025 – Where Team Spirit Meets Top-Level Sport

From July 11 to 13, 2025, it's time: the DQHA will host the FEQHA European Team Cup at the Pferdesportzentrum Lammetal in Lamspringe, Germany. Together with Show Manager Marius Bauer, Show Office Lead Steffi Schulz, and an experienced organizing team, we look forward to an event that combines high-level sport with a strong focus on teamwork – because at the Team Cup, it’s not about individual wins, but team performance.
A Special Format With a Unique Spirit
Traditionally held every two years, the FEQHA European Team Cup is hosted by one of the European AQHA Affiliates. After the 2024 edition in Denmark and due to the cancellation of the 2025 AQHA Youth World Cup, the FEQHA has adjusted the cycle – meaning the next Team Cup will already take place in 2025, this time in Germany.
Seven European teams – including a united mixed team – will compete in Lamspringe. Each team must be broadly structured, as every rider must compete in at least three different classes. This means you might see a Ranch Riding specialist suddenly appearing in Hunt Seat Equitation – flexibility and team spirit are essential.

Participation is strictly regulated: in Showmanship, Horsemanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, and Ranch Riding, a maximum of three riders per country may compete. In Ranch Trail and Reining, only two riders per country are permitted. These rules require careful strategic planning and a high degree of flexibility from both team leaders and riders.
Teams From Across Europe – Including a United Team
In addition to host country Germany, which will be represented with one Youth and one Amateur team, the following nations will participate:
– Switzerland with one Youth and one Amateur team
– France with one Amateur and two Youth teams
– Poland with one Youth team
– A united team with riders from Finland, Sweden, Belgium, and Germany
This cross-border collaboration is a key feature of the Team Cup – a celebration of community, fairness, and international friendship.
Team Spirit – On and Off the Arena
The core idea of the Team Cup is about coming together – and this is reflected not only in the show arena, but also in the weekend’s social program. Shared lunches, a BBQ evening, and fun team-building activities create space for exchange, bonding, and plenty of laughter.
The Miara Ranch Restaurant will be open throughout the weekend to provide great food and hospitality for riders, teams, and spectators alike.
One special highlight is the team presentation on Friday evening: each team introduces itself with a song of its choice, creative costumes (often with cultural flair), and a short performance – a festive and entertaining start to an exceptional weekend.

Each class is held separately for Youth and Amateur divisions, with individual award ceremonies following each event. The top three nations in each class will be honored with their flags revealed on the podium – a moving and unforgettable moment for all teams.
The event concludes with the grand team awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon, where the top-ranked teams will be celebrated and trophies awarded.
